YAKUTIA

Recently promoted 25 year old Captain Alexi Koriskov heads out to the Wild Wild East of Siberia in the 1840s, taking with him his under-appreciated scientific inventions and his Vision of a Utopian Democratic Society, in service of his family honor, his betrothed Elena back home in Moscow, and of course the Czar. It doesn't take long for Alexi to realize that his 'promotion' was an exile-in-disguise, engineered and perpetuated by all of those back home who he trusted, and loved. His new companions are White Russians who obey NO laws, Yakut Natives who honor codes he cannot understand, and the ghost of his deceased father. Still, Alexi is determined to build his Utopian society, where no one is king, everyone is wealthy, and science forces Mother Nature to serve everyone. At first he is lucky, then learns very quickly that the anatomy of a multicultural Revolution based in scientific theory is far more complex than he can imagine, and far more dangerous than he ever could have envisioned.

999AD

St. Pierre, an  isolated Christian French village in the Dark Ages during the final days of December, 999 AD.   Life is harsh, brutish and short for most everyone except the ‘Duke’ (a collector of books who is secretly illiterate, but who rules everyone’s pocket), his flirtatious Pagan wife (who has secretly taken most of the Duke’s serfs and the Monestary’s monks to bed)  and Abbott Phillip (corrupt head of the Monestary,  who has convinced the illiterate peasants that the world will come to an end at dawn on Jan 1, 1000 AD, Christ forgiving their sins if they give their wealth, and their children, to the Church).    In the middle of it all is Brother Thomas, a cynical wandering Jew with a secret past who is one of the only monks who can not only transcribe books but actually read them, and who has secretly written his own, which he hopes that, one day, someone will read and appreciate.

Communal Confessions

Something or someone is killing off the most powerful Italian-American Mobsters in Brooklyn as new Crime Bosses from the ‘conquered’ former Soviet Union are on their way up in the power structure of America.    Perhaps a coincidence, or perhaps not.

Hessians

Nearly half of the Army that fought for King George in the American Revolution were German (Hessian) mercenaries and conscripts who knew no English and nothing about the War they were being ordered to fight.  Hans and Albert are two dirt-poor manure-shoveling German Peasants who enlist in the Hessian Army, encouraged by Maria, rebellious and intelligent daughter of their ‘Master’, sadistic and manipulative Baron von Edinger.    Maria loves Hans, an introvert of advanced intellect with a tortured and very secret past, but has feelings she cannot define for his bold and very worldly best friend, Albert.   The best of intentions and historical ‘accidents’ pit each member of the trio of twenty-something adventurers in wars against powers bigger than they ever imagined, each other, and themselves, as the War that Revolutionized America spurs on even more radical changes in them.

Color of Revolution

‘Color of Revolution’ is a fact-based fiction about three Slaves on the same South Carolina Plantation who find themselves on different and opposing sides of the War.   It is told from their own evolving perspectives and voices.   As they become ‘activized’ by their assigned, or chosen, Causes, they clash, meeting head on with their shared mysterious past, and that entity most yearned for and feared---Freedom.

The Telenkovian Experiment

A fact based tale about how a village of moral, starving and colorfully-dysfunctional 1930 Ukrainians turned the tables on their Bolshevik captors, disposing of the evidence in ways that set in motion a potential disaster for contemporary Russia, and the world.

Of Lions and Lambs

A highly cynical, super-intelligent, hyper-intense, obsessively-political middle-aged female stand up comic (Atti 'the Hun' Nicholoulias) is befriended by a 21 year-old farm boy Bible-thumping New Ager (John Smith) from Iowa who believes, though a series of 'accidents' that Atti is his Spirit Helper, sent from another planet by the Heavenly Father, and that his calling is to be a stand-up comic.

Professor Jack

JFK IS ALIVE!  He's been kidnapped, tortured and he's pissed! He wants justice and revenge!
Professor Jack—an old coot hiding out in the contemporary New Mexican desert-claims to be John F. Kennedy, kidnapped after a double was assassinated in 1963.  He remembers being given mind-altering drugs, facial surgery and an ultimatum---to NEVER enter ANY political area again,
or harm will come to those closest to him.
He knows who did it, and they are in the highest positions of global power.

Heart of the Healer: Ghosts of Patients Past

Some of the ghosts from Dr. John's past are dead, and some very much in the land of the living.  Their arrival and activities are part of a larger 'work in progress' in which John is to be the main player, the fate of the world as he knows it in the balance.

Henry and the Wolf Doctor

An ‘All Creatures Great and Small’-like veterinary drama/comedy set in the modern-day Canadian West with a multicultural theme and contemporary edge.
An old, paternal, sawbones, Redneck veterinarian (Doc Henry 'dinosaur' Steiner) with a mysterious past traps into his practice and very eccentric backwater town,  an independent young First Nations animal doc (Roberta Collineeur, Ph.D., D.V.M), who is both scientifically talented and tied to her cultural roots.  A political and cultural mismatch forms, held together by pioneer grit, love of animals and need for both to redeem themselves for wrongs done in the past that made them loners.   On the tail of Roberta's arrival, an old enemy of Doc Henry and the town, who seeks to destroy them both, and make Doctor Collineur his personal squwa.

Revolutionary Blues

A Faustian Western set against the backdrop of the 1926 Yaqui Indian revolt in the rugged and mystical Bacatete mountains of Senora, Mexico.  An American ex-patriot on the run from the law, and his past, does battle with the Devil Incarnate taking the form of an English Captain of Industry in a winner-take-all duel with the last round occurring in the middle of the Yaqui Indian revolt.

Babylonian Retribution

An introspective, intelligent, kind-hearted, but somewhat arrogant New York Times Journalist (Michael Craven) is on a long-needed vacation in the Middle East with his hot, young, optimistic Arkansas wife (Crystal).   Aside from Michael’s reluctance to loosen up, it’s a good time for the couple, until Crystal pulls her head-heavy new hubby into a street fair where he sees an ancient vest that he HAS to have with a design that looks familiar to his cynical eye.  Its pocket soon contains a book deposited by an illusive street dancer about the legendary (and probably fictional) Ancient Civilization of Jenada.

Heart of the Healer: The Truth About Lying

The continuing saga of John Baldino, MD, Ph.D. and now an agent working with other officially-dead scientists to get the bottom of a suspicious epidemic of brain tumors on an isolated Apache Indian Reserve, specially chosen for his intellect, moral fiber and neurologically-verified ability to cross the life-death line.

Raising Ceaser

In 1933, Dieter thought that his trench-mate from 1914, Adolf Hitler, would see that reason is the best way to bring Germany to its true potential.  By 1943, Dieter has acquired a medical degree, a prestigious career as a neuroscientist and the realization that ‘the Housepainter’  (a once-aspiring artistic painter) must be stopped.   From INSIDE of the collective German mind, a mind that has been perverted into moral ‘mush’ by the most effectively designed propaganda machinery in history.

War Whore

A rebellious American spy gets into Hitler's bedroom and becomes impregnated with his baby. Stranded on the Russian Front as the German Army, the Red Army and Armies of uncertain alliances converge, the price on Karen’s head and the child/’demon seed’ in her womb escalates, her strength diminishes and she becomes increasingly dependent on her ‘protectors’, some assigned by Washington, some by London and some by ‘chance’ encounters with Red Army and Partisan units.  The only person who, so it seems, has her interest at heart, is the child, so she thinks…and hopes.

Promethian Fire

It’s Spring,, 1967. Another season for American ex-patriot hippie-classical music composer/conductor Alan Kewalski to ‘wow’ international audiences with his unique brand of ‘rockingly-rebellions’ Beethoven et al.   A former American draft resistor who went to jail for his convictions, Alan spends his days working with stuffy classical musicians afflicted with ‘dull out virus’, his nights with young revolutionaries-in-training who desperately need his help in areas artistic, political and moral.   In his ‘spare’ time, Alan taunts Captain Spiros, a glory-seeking Fascist whose political views keep him from advancing up the ranks, but whose manipulative and sadistic ‘skills’ keep him from getting discharged.

Grass Wars

‘Old Man Dan’ was a decorated Korean War veteran way back in the 1950s, then moved to the booming working-man’s-Paradise of Huntingshire, Long Island, then the ‘woods’ where a man could commune with Nature and become the rugged individualist that he wanted to be.   A well-liked and highly skilled and eccentric handyman, Dan broke no laws for forty years, at least not outside the walls of his own house, a dwelling now in a ‘living beautification’ zone, on a plot of land that someone very powerful wants, at any price, or will obtain by any means.

Wagon Wheeled

A Wagon Train of Union-supporting sodbusters led by an ex-slave/self-taught Scholar, Homer, on its way from St Louis to California just after the Civil War has to join forces with Mac McCloud and his all-ex-Confederate free-range cattle outfit in order to survive.   Battling hostile Indians with secret scores to settle and Mother Nature on a PMS rampage is hard enough.
There’s an enemy within the camp, killing cowboys and sodbusters alike in ways that are painful, horrifying and for reasons no one can figure out.

Swimmers

Albert Einstein and a shipwrecked English Seacaptain find themselves stranded on a South Pacific 'paradise' island, Concladia, where the inhabitants know nothing about competition. But the contest between Captain White and Albert will determine fate of the undiscovered Concladians, and the world they know nothing about. so far.
